Junior IT Technician (m/f/x)

NESSUS is a renowned Austrian IT company that has specialized in IT services since 1999. We provide our customers with our fiber optic and microwave network in Vienna and the surrounding area with bandwidths of up to 100 Gbit/s. Additionally, we operate two ISO-certified high-security data centers with a total area of over 2,300 m². Our most prominent customers include major media companies, banks, as well as messaging platforms and popular job portals.

The company remains 100% owned by founder and CEO Florian Schicker. Our office, which is home to 25 friendly employees, is centrally located in Vienna and is easily accessible by public transport. We work in modern, bright, and pleasant offices on the air-conditioned top floor.

Your Responsibilities
  • Configuration of switches and point-to-point radio antennas
  • Planning, production, commissioning and maintenance of fibre-optic and point-to-point radio links
  • Ensuring day-to-day operations and troubleshooting network issues
  • Communication with the teams involved (e.g. Support, Field Service)
  • Administration of our network management and monitoring systems
  • Maintenance of our network infrastructure
  • Maintaining our technical documentation
Requirements
  • You have a solid basic technical understanding
  • You have already gained initial experience in the networking field (configuration of switches, routers, etc.)
  • You are motivated to learn new things and develop your technical skills
  • You show initiative and enjoy finding solutions independently
Bonus Points
  • if you are familiar with the ISP environment
  • You have experience administering Linux systems

Your Salary

Minimum salary according to the collective agreement: EUR 2,500 gross / month (ST1 – based on full-time employment)
Actual salary: between EUR 2,503 and EUR 3,100 gross / month depending on qualifications and experience.
