Information Security Officer (M/F/X)

Part-time from 20 hours/week

NESSUS is a renowned Austrian IT company that has specialized in IT services since 1999. We provide our customers with our fiber optic and microwave network in Vienna and the surrounding area with bandwidths of up to 100 Gbit/s. Additionally, we operate two ISO-certified high-security data centers with a total area of over 2,300 m². Our most prominent customers include major media companies, banks, as well as messaging platforms and popular job portals.

The company remains 100% owned by founder and CEO Florian Schicker. Our office, which is home to 25 friendly employees, is centrally located in Vienna and is easily accessible by public transport. We work in modern, bright, and pleasant offices on the air-conditioned top floor.

Your Responsibilities

  • You conduct regular risk assessments (according to ISO 27000 and BSI Grundschutz), lead management reviews and other information security-relevant meetings, introduce new policies as needed, and continuously improve the ISMS
  • You monitor incidents and risks and conduct internal security audits
  • You train employees (policy training, awareness training) and are available within the company for security and data protection-related questions
  • You stay up to date on new developments in the field of information security and data protection (DSG, EU GDPR)

Your Qualifications

  • 3 years of practical experience with similar tasks
  • Basic network and ICT knowledge
  • Training with relevant professional orientation (Information Security, Data Protection) or in-depth knowledge in the field of information security and relevant security management frameworks or standards (ISO 27000 series, BSI Grundschutz)
  • Independent as well as quality- and solution-oriented working style
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as very good German and English language skills
  • Experience in data protection, project management, ITIL, or with the Austrian TKG is an advantage

Your Salary

Minimum salary according to collective agreement: EUR 2,635 gross/month for full-time (38.5 hours per week). Your actual salary is between EUR 3,000 gross/month and market-based compensation depending on education and experience.
